Show GFWC officers attend meet in Montreal Mrs. Harold Christensen and Mrs. Wendell Winger of this city were among five from Utah who attended a board meeting of the General Federation Feder-ation of Womens Clubs at Montreal, Mon-treal, Canada, recently. Mrs. Christensen as department depart-ment chairman of Conservation, GFWC, was one of the six chairmen, irl charge of programs pro-grams presented for the pre-sent pre-sent administration. Mrs. Winger, state director f Junior clubs attended Junior Jun-ior work sessions. Following the GFWC meet, there was a 2-day international internation-al conference with the National Council of Women of Canada with Mrs. D. H. Finlayson, Canada president in charge. The Utah club women made the trip by plane. Mrs. Christensen, Chris-tensen, with a friend, Mrs. Van Hookstubbs of Texas spent a fey touring Montreal and another an-other day in Boston. Mrs. Win-?er Win-?er also toured briefly before foturning home, in Montreal and Quebec. SP4 Joseph Paul Sumsion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Summon Sum-mon surprised his parents and friends with avisit home from army camp in Caribou, Maine, this week. He is on a 16-day leave and has complet-ed complet-ed over two years of his three-ar three-ar enlistment. |
