Show children are being taught, from the earliest levels, to scrutinize printed words with care to see what they look like at the beginning, be-ginning, at the end, and in the middle. They become acquainted acquaint-ed with and associate form, sound, and the meaning of words. They not likenesses and differences in words, discover root words, and learn many other things. Yes, learning to read is & complicated process but these children accept the challenge with interest and determination, determina-tion, and so does the teacher.
