Cal Johnson flew to Denver, Colorado for two days of business busi-ness for International Harvester Harvest-er Company. Young Mary Jane Johnson was honored on her third birthday birth-day with a swimming party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Johnson last week. Friends will be interested to hear that Specialist Four John Clyde Stevens, 19, son of Howard How-ard E. Stevens, Mapleton recently re-cently graduated with honors from the Seventh Army Typing School in Stuttgart, while serving ser-ving with the 379th Signal Battalion's Headquarters Detachment. De-tachment. Clyde entered the Army in January 1958, completing his basic training at Fort Ord, California and arrived in Europe Eur-ope in June 1958. Visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whiting are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Cox (Marjorie) and their two children, Frances and Walter Wal-ter B. of Fairless Hills, Penn. Sunday a family dinner was given in their honor which included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. Donald Allan Al-lan and their family of New York City who are visiting relatives re-latives here. Marjorie and her family plan to be here two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Whiting are enjoying a visit from their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Allan (Thora) and five children from New York City. Mr. and Mrs. Whiting Whit-ing are happy to get better acquainted ac-quainted with their grandchildren, grandchil-dren, John, Don, Robert, Karen and Mary. The Allans plan an extended stay of three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Max Merry-weather Merry-weather have moved to Tooele to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Menden-hall Menden-hall are home after an interesting inter-esting trip to Clovis, New Mexico Mex-ico where they visited at the home of their daughter Janice (Mrs. Loyal Hastings) and family. Lt. Hastings is presently present-ly stationed in Las Vegas in the Air Force. Mr. and Mrs. Mendenhall returned re-turned home via the Santa Fe Route through Colorado. They traveled through the San Louis Valley and stopped at Monarch Pass and at Grand Junction before be-fore coming home. |
