Reserve, Don Gubler, has been called to a meeting in Washington D.C. to discuss dis-cuss strategy and major issues confronting the United States in its conflict with Communism. Gubler of this city, German and Russian Rus-sian instructor at the BYU is one of a highly specialized group of Air Force Reserve Officers selected to attend the two-week National Strategy Seminar which began July 12 at the National War College, Ft. Lesley J. McNair, Washington Wash-ington D.C. He is commander of the 942nd A. F. Sqdn. with headquarters in Provo. The National Strategy Seminar Sem-inar deals with major issue facing the United States and its allies today the conflict with world Communism. It considers the causes of this conflict, the objectives of the combatants, the techniques by which the conflict is sustained, and the measures which the Free World may take to maintain main-tain and increase its security. A major purpose of the seminar sem-inar is to present to a special group of personnel ideas and programs for creating a resolute, reso-lute, informed US climate of opinion and to direct the attention atten-tion and energies of Americans toward the preservation of the United States and the Free World. |
