President 'Roberta Singleton conducted the meeting. meet-ing. Chosen as new president is Mrs. Shirley Marsh and assisting assist-ing her will be Mrs. LaVeta Westwood and Principal Timothy Tim-othy Moran as vice presidents and Mrs. Cora Ellis will act as secretary and treasurer. Outgoing officers in addition to Mrs. Singleton were Mrs. Vivian Vi-vian Miguel, vice president and Phyllis Johnson, secretary and treasurer. A family supper was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nor-ris Nor-ris T. Binks Saturday night honoring Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Binks who are visiting here from Bell Gardens, California. Covers were laid for the following fol-lowing brothers and their wives, Royal Binks of Orem, E. F. Binks of Provo, Mrs. Hannah Binks of Mapleton, the honored guests and the hosts. The Mapleton Recreation Dance Revue given Wednesday evening in the church was the climax in the year's work of recreational dancing, and was very well attended. Mrs. Zina Dibble is spending a week in Bountiful where she is visiting with relatives. Mapleton Jaycees were very-well very-well represented at the convention conven-tion in Cedar City which convened con-vened Friday, Saturday and Sunday of last week. Fay Johnson flew to Hillfield from his base in Colorado Springs one day last week and while he was in Utah he spent a day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Johnson. Sunday dinner guests at the Johnson home were her nephew Arthur W. Jackson and his wife and family of Salt Lake City. There's a new baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Binks. He was born last Thursday Thurs-day at the Utah Valley Hospital. Hospi-tal. The new mother is the former for-mer Kathy Wilson of Spring-ville. The Little League Baseball teams of Mapleton held their opening games of the season on the school park Tuesday afternoon. af-ternoon. The four teams, which have been accepted into the Western Baseball League for Boys, are coached by Jack Canto, Preston Hooper, Neno Antoneno and Marty Perrero. Willis Harmer was honored on his birthday Saturday night with a dinner party at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clegg in Salt Lake City. Other guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Woffinden of Benjamin Mr. and Mrs. Mel Harwood of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Mackley and Dr. and Mrs. Eldon Mackley of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harmer of Mapleton and Bishop and Mrs. Lewis Harmer of Pleasant Grove. - Mrs. Zora Hales is convalescing convales-cing at home ofter major surgery sur-gery at the Utah Valley Hospital. Hos-pital. Melvin hall is spending a thirty day furlough from the Airborne Division of the Army where he has been stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Armond Hall. He plans to return re-turn to Fort Lewis , Washington Washing-ton after his leave. Also home after treatment at the Utah Valley Hospital is Mr. Aaron Mendenhall..
