Show j O - - t - - i ' , I k . . . j L. ! Mrs. C. W. Erickson, who noted her 91st birthday at family dinner recalls but one ward in Springville. 91st Birthday Noted by Springville Lady Mrs. C. W. Erickson was honored on her ninety first birthday with a family dinner at Bart's Cottage Sunday afternoon af-ternoon which was attended by fourteen members of her imediate family including their husbands and wives. Coming from Salt Lake City were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Erickson, Mrs. Amy Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. Clvde Clark. Mr. and Mrs. J. Arthur Yearns and Mrs. Edith Erickson; attending from Murray Mur-ray were Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Orlan-do Erickson; from Mapleton Mrs. Lilly Hopla and Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks. Mrs. Erickson was born Feb. 22, 1867 in Brandstrup, Denmark, Den-mark, a daughter of Hans Ol-sen Ol-sen and Kirsten Anderson Hansen. Han-sen. In 1890 in Denmark . she became a convert to the LDS Church. That same year she imigrated to America. She married Carl W. Erickson Erick-son August 27, 1890, in the Manti Temple. He was a missionary mis-sionary returning on the same ship on which she came to America. Mr. Erickson died Feb. 16, 1926. When Mrs. Erickson first lived in Springville there was only one ward with Bishop Packard presiding over it. She is very impressed with the growth of Springviile since that time and the fact that there are now twelve wards in it. She has been very active in the church, having served in the Primary for many years and was a member of its presidency pres-idency at one time. She was also al-so a Relief Society teacher for fifteen years and worked on the Ward Genealogical Committee. Com-mittee. Mrs. Erickson is the mother of eight sons and daughters, six of whom are living. They are Lee and Orlando Erickson, Mrs. Glenna Clark and Mrs. Jennie Kearns, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lilly Hopla and Mrs. Amanda Binks of Mapleton. Maple-ton. She has 21 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She has been making her home for the past two months at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks. |
