Show Mother of Local Women Dies Here Mrs. Sadie Prince Thayne, 77, mother of Mrs. Ellis (Cecil) Murray and Mrs. Harvey (Vida) Whitney of Springville died Thursday evening at the Murray home, 531 South Third East, this city, of a lingering illness. She had been here about two months. Born in Middleton, Washington Washing-ton County, Utah, March 2, 1880, Mrs. 'Thayne was a daughter of Richard and Martha Mar-tha Cooper Prince. She was married to George T. Thayne, Sept. 16, 1897 at St. Thomas, Nev. and the marriage was later la-ter solemnized in the St. George Temple. Mr. Thayne died September 30, 1955, and Mrs. Thayne had made her home with her daughters since . that time. Surviving are the following: Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Whitney of Springville; Mrs. Mildred Perry of Cedar City, Mrs. Al-vin Al-vin (Sadie) Nielson and Mrs. Hannig (Rhea) Smith of Henderson, Hen-derson, Nev.; Mrs. Mamie Whipple of St. George; 30 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; grand-children; a brother, Frank Prince and a sister Mrs. Delia Mickelson of St. George. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Washington LDS ward, with burial in Washington, directed by Spills-bury Spills-bury Funeral Home. |
