Show WeilA Wotd . . . Miss Phyllis Weight left Monday by plane for New York City, and her work as service club director for special spe-cial services at Fort Tilden near New York. She spent two weeks here over the Christmas and New Year holidays and it was the first time in 15 years, she had been home for Christmas. Christ-mas. During her stay she was the house guest of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Stewart and also visited other relatives and friends. The Weight family was also together during her visit for the first time in ten years, - Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Weight and baby daughter and week after her brother Richard's Rich-ard's homecoming. They have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Cornell Clyde and with Mr. Russell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Russell over the holidays. Mr. Russell came up for Christmas but had to return shortly to continue his dental studies. Mr. and Mrs. Abe TJllock in company with their daughter Emma TJllock and Gloria Lang-ston Lang-ston of Salt Lake City enjoyed a 10-day vacation trip over the holidays in California, returning return-ing on Friday of last week. They visited Mr. Ullock's sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Margaret Hawkins and Mrs. Hilda Norton in I Long Beach and saw the Rose parade on New Year's Day at Pasadena. After tne paraae, they had dinner with Mr. Ullock's Ul-lock's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Sawyer Saw-yer at Pasadena and also called cal-led on Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Erb (Ruth Condie) and family at Downey. In Los Angeles, they visited many places of interest in-terest including Forest Lawn cemetery and Farmers Market. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hatch and daughter May Gay returned return-ed early Thursday morning from California, where they spent the holidays. They spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Lew Jones (Arlene Hatch) and three children in San Francisco. Francis-co. Later they traveled down the coast to Riverside, where they spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hatch and family. They saw the Rose Parade New Year's Day and left immediately after for home being gone ten days. They arrived ar-rived in time Thursday morning morn-ing for Mary Gay to resume her teaching in Alpine schools. Roger Weight and his bride-to-be, Miss Lorraine Rawlings, coming from Colorado Springs; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weight from Elksdale, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Creed Weight and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Kay Weight and family of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lowe have returned home from an enjoyable vacation and visit with relatives and friends in California. They went to San Diego to see a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hennessey (Mary Joyce Lowe) and family. They also visited Glen's two sisters, Mrs. Lela L. Christensen and husband Wayne and Mrs. Rose L. Davis Da-vis and husband Howard; also a brother, Paul Lowe and wife and a sister and brother-in-law of Mrs. Lowe, Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Allman. They made a tour of Tijuana, Mex. and went as far south as Roseretta Beach and other cities in Mexico Mex-ico in company with relatives. They also visited a number of friends in San Diego and vicinity. vi-cinity. Mrs. Kenneth Russell (Carma Clyde) and three children will return to their home 'in San Francisco, Calif., early next |
