From time to time during the performance they present fun-plays fun-plays and laughable comedies, so nicely timed and so admirably fitted fit-ted into the more startling portions of the programme as to keep the audience in a constant state of intermittent in-termittent wonder and merriment. It is fun pure fun genuine fun the kind of fun which men, women, and children enjoy, and which makes life brighter and bet-ter bet-ter for its enjoyment. If there is anything these clever clowns do not perform, it is something that has not yet been invented. They run the entire gamut of human fnn-making. fnn-making. They are actors and comedians, come-dians, and musicians, and acrobats and contortionists, and grimalkins, all in one, while an entire carload of paraphernalia is used in their varied and mirth-provoking performances. perfor-mances. There are the tallest of giants, and the funniest of dwarfs; giraffes, with the most wonderful rubber necks, that twist and turn in a marvelous and ridiculous way; donkeys that dance and turn somersaults; som-ersaults; funny fat policemen, with mammoth heads and caps big enough en-ough for a hundred ordinary men; dudes and tramps, Dutchmen and Irish women, Pantaloons and fat boys, and any number of other laughable characters. These mer-ry-makers are never idle, and often a half-dozen roaring comedies will be enacted at one time.
