Show SOCIETY Proceeds of Party to Aid French Orphan THIS Seekers Literary club entertained enter-tained ut a card party and Kensington Ken-sington at Civic center yesterday afternoon. The rooms were decorated in red poenies and snowballs. Tea waa served at small tables. The guests were received bv the officers offi-cers of the club, Mrs. o. V. Daily, Mrs. A. J. Dailey, Mrs. J. V. Guthrie, Mrs. R V. Senior, Mrs. A. J. Eaton and Mrs. O. AW Kotter. Assisting in serving: were Miss Melba Nelson., Misa Gladys Rcilley. Miss Catherine Cath-erine Oil-ahum, Miss Helen Smith. Miss Kleanor Hichnrds. Mrs. Krank Hainey, Miss Krma Croves and Miss la Rue Ca-hoon. Ca-hoon. Music was furnished by Miss Melba Nelson and Miss Enna Groves. The card committee included Mrs. 8. R King, Mrs. K. C. McCullow and Mrs. B. 13. Owens. The Kensington was arranged by Mrs. E. Marcil. (sne hundred quests were in attendance. The proceeds of the entertainment will be devoted toward the support of a French orphan. Mrs. Rowene C. Allison entertained at a lurire tea yesterday afternoon from 1 until 6 o'clock at her home, 73'J East First South street, in honor of her daughter-in-law. Mrs. Edward Allison. Garden flowers were used about the house, and the tea table had a centerpiece of pink roses. The hostess was aslsted by her daughter. daugh-ter. Miss Rowene Allison; Mrs. Paul Key-ser. Key-ser. Miss Edna Dunn and Miss Sybil Walker. One hundred and fifty invitations invita-tions were issued. Mr. and Mrs. II. G. McMillan entertained enter-tained at a family dinner last night at their home on East South Temple street, in honor of Mrs. Lyle of Lexington, Ky.. who is visiting her son. John Vimont and Mrs. Eyle; and also of Harokl McMillan, who has recently returned from Russia, where he has been in the United States marine service. Bridal wreath decorated the table. Covers were laid for ten. si: Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Knox entertained enter-tained at a dancing party at the Tennis club last night, in honor of Captain George Knox, who has recently returned from overseas. The guests numbered forty. Miss Dora Hall and Walter Tracy will be married this evening at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hall, 7S East First North street. The ceremony will be performed by the Rev. Elmer I. Goshen in the presence of relatives rela-tives and close friends, and a small reception re-ception will follow. After a wedding trip to the coast, the couple will make their home in Salt Lake. Sororities of the University of Utah, including the Gamma Phi, Alpha Chi, Chi Omega and Delta Epsilon, will entertain at tea. at the Hotel Utah this afternoon. Crown entertained the Hap-pv Hap-pv Hour club yesterday afternoon at her home on Coatsville avenue. Luncheon was followed by a Kensington. ..Pink carnations car-nations in a basket decorated the luncheon lunch-eon table. Covers were laid for the ten club members, mem-bers, including Mrs. E. H. Fairbanks, Mrs. H. M. Sears, Mrs. B. A. Davis, Mrs. Horace Goodfellow, Mrs. N. Sisam, Mrs. E Carlson. Mrs. S. Paschall, Mrs. Evan Haslain, Mrs. Edward Lang. The Crvstal Bridge club will be entertained enter-tained today by Mrs. J. F. Dunn, at the country club. "Weighing and Measuring of Children" will be conducted at Civic center from 10 until 12 o'clock this morning and from - until 4 o'clock this afternoon by Mrs. Rose II. Widtsoe and Miss Blanche Cooper. A field trip to local stores to examine canning equipment will be conducted con-ducted this afternoon by Miss Leah P. Jennings. The Busy Twelve club will be entertained enter-tained today by Mrs. C. Jj. Schmidt at her home, 141 Mead avenue. Miss Ruby Manning will entertain the alumnae members of the Delta Epsilon sorority of the University of Utah Friday Fri-day evening at her home, 416 East I'irst South street. Mrs. Frank J. Cramer will entertain at bridge tea Thursday afternoon at her homo in the Marquette apartments.
