Show Yield Is Short. OMSK, Tuesday, May 27. (By the Associated As-sociated Press.) If the Omsk government govern-ment succeeds in clearing Russia of the .Bolsheviki this year it will be bareiy able to meet the demands for grain to supply sup-ply ' the people, according to M. Petrov, minister of agriculture. He bases his estimates on the fact that the yield west of the Urals will be 30 per cent below normal, nor-mal, although the Siberian crop will be la per cent larger than last year. It Is proposed to use the surplus of wheat in Siberia to meet the deficit in European Russia. H is said that quite a portion of the wheat crop of the past three years is etill to be threshed in outlying districts, due to inadequate transportation facilities.' |
