During the season thev ran up a total of 649 points against their opponents, ail the whllt holding their adversaries to shutouts. shut-outs. Their last two games were wiih Bo.velder. accredited title winners in the northern division, and Payson, crTampior.fi of the southern divisions. Yesterday's game started out with some hard fighting on the part of Payson, but .iy the end of the first period the Leopards had their opponents well in hand and r;e-gan r;e-gan to run up the score. The cast s.derfi made their first touchdown in the first quarter and followed it In the second with two more. In the third quarter they made four touchdowns, ar.d In the last they put the pigskin over the Payson goal line, five timei. Although one successful forward pass was completed by Payson, they, like most of the other elevens the Leopards have defeated, resorted chiefly to straight fo-j'--fcall. Some line plunges on the par; of Payson netted them good ground, but, with the exception of the first quarier, the ball was kept in Payson territory almost al-most all the while. Leopards Gaih Consistently. Line plunges and end runs made yardage yard-age for the Leopards and several spectacular spec-tacular forward passe3 were worked, with fair gains, while crisscross and fake plays proved to be very good ground gain era Excellent punting on the part of Henderson Hender-son and Taufer in the first period twice saved the Leopard goal line from being crossed. Henderaon and Livingston played their Usual fast game, making numerous end runs. Each scored three of the Leopards' touchdowns, Papworth. the Leopard center, cen-ter, played an exceptionally gocl game. He displayed some good tackling and fcit up a stiff game throughout. Kump, 2'aufer and Meyers also starred for the alt Lakers. Payson kicked off and the Leopards received re-ceived on their own forty-yard line. They advanced ten yards, but lost the ball on downs. The visitors were full of fight and were marching down the field with th-- ball but fumbled on the Leopards thirty-yard line. Llnvingston recovered Ihe fumble, and. reversing the direction of the oval, carried it down the field on 1 seventy-yard run and crossed the Pay-son Pay-son goal line for the first Leopard score. Dyer kicked goal. Leopards in Danger.
