Show FORESTERS TO MEET ON FISH AND GAME In cooperation with the fish and game departments of the state within the boundaries of Forest District No. 4, which includes Utah and parts of Wyoming. Idaho, Colorado and Nevada, the forest service, throuph its recreation department, depart-ment, is planning a meeting" of the various vari-ous officials interested, to be held probably prob-ably in Salt Lake City some time next month. They will go over the fishinp and hunting needs of the entire district and will endeavor to arrive at some uniformity uni-formity of policy in dealing with fish and pame questions of the entire territory. Interstate problems and conditions near the state border lines will receive especial consideration. Among other things to be considered are plans for setting apart suitable camping places in the national forests, and possibly fitting them up with some simple conveniences. There is also the matter of game conditions in interstate inter-state streams and lakes. A planting campaign cam-paign in the forest streams to be carried out in September will also receive consideration. con-sideration. This, of course, involves the question of desirable Iepislation. so as to make the regulation in border states more nearly uniform. |
