Show Iras to sf CLUB Old Fox Will Put Washington Washing-ton in Race; Stays With Ban. WASHINGTON. Dec. 14. Mr. Richardson, Rich-ardson, who is associated with Clark Grifiith in the purchase of the Washington Washing-ton American league club, which was an-, nounced yesterday, is a member of a grain firm in Philadelphia, and, through the deal, became an equal partner with Griffith in ownership of about four-fifths ot the 20,000 shares of stock in the club, purchased from a dozen local holders. Grifiith will vote the stock, however, and control the club's future policy. In a statement, Griffith said he planned to build the club up and put it in pen-mint-winning shape for next year. The deal included all assets of the club, and the new president indicated that a vigorous vigor-ous policy that would not let expense stand in the way of development of the team would be pursued. It was stated that the sale In no way altered the lineup of the club in the fie.ht ra the American league. Washington was still to be counted in the Ban Johnson column, Griffith said.
