Show MI CHARGED WITH C01WEIT1& Idaho Sheepherder Confesses Con-fesses After Ink-stained " Knife Is Found. A pocketknife with an ink-stained blade is responsible for the arrest and later confession of Grant O'Harrah, a sheepherder of Idaho Falls, Idaho, who is charged with counterfeiting by raising rais-ing the denomination of paper currency, according to a report made by William H. Davenport, secret service operator of the Salt Lake department, who returned yesterday after arresting O'Harrah. O'Harrah, who was su.spected of hnving changed the bills, stoutly maintained his Innocence when questioned. Mr. Davenport Daven-port said. Even when arrested he stuck to another story until he was searched and the pocketknife discovered. Mr. Davenport, upon examination of the knife, found ink stains on one blade and discovered another blade which had been Kround fiat and sharpened to a razur-like razur-like edge. When confronted with this evidence, 0"Harrah promptly admitt ed lie was quilty of changing several bills to $10. He Is now in the Idaho Falls jail, charged with counterfeiting, a feiony which is punishable by a large fine and a maximum maxi-mum prison sentence of fifteen years. |
