Show JURY BEING PICKED FOR RYAN TRIAL Impaneling a jury for trial of J. J. Ryan for the murder of his son, James LeRoy Ryan. 7 years of age, last Sep-teriber Sep-teriber 4, by administration of a tatal dt f-e of poison, was begun yesterday in Judge John F. Toblnls division of ' the Third district court. It is expected that twelve men to try the case will be qualified and sworn before be-fore the closing time of court today. A defense on the ground of temporal insanity in-sanity is contemplated. It is understood. Ryan induced the boy to take poison, and himself took poison on the day before he was to have been drafted. He recovered re-covered under treatment. His explanation explana-tion for the act was that he preferred death for both himself and his son to separation from the boy. The child's mother committed suicide some time before. |
