Show CHOICE BREEDERS TO FEATMOCK SHOW Association Announces, Exhibition Ex-hibition Will Positively Be Held Next Week. Choice breeding stock will occupy a prominent place in the Intermountain fat stock show which positively wilt be opened to the- public next Thursday, 'according to announcement made yesterday. Tlicso animals will represent the leading herds of this section of the west and will demonstrate dem-onstrate what the farmer and stockraiser have done during the past few years in bringing tho stock industry up to the highest standard, that the demands of the world for increased food production may be satisfied. In the swine section there will be shown the finest "porkers" ever produced, some of them four times winners of the grand championship prizes at the Ulali and Idaho state fairs. This section will evidence the fact that the tntermountain section of the west Is taking- a place among the hotr-producing sLates that it should havo occupied years ago. It will reflect the value of tho educational campaign cam-paign which has-been and is being conducted con-ducted by the Intel-mountain Stockshow association to oncourayo farmers to give greater attention to tho hog-raising industry. in-dustry. Prize Iambs will be among the winners of premiums, and will show what Is being done by the flockmasters of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming in producing the best lambs ever placed on the market. It js confidently confi-dently expected that at the sale of lambs on the second day of the show that the record made a year apro. when a carload of lambs sold for 42 cents a pound, will be maintained. The Red Cross herd of heifer calves will attract generaJ attention and rellect the fact that the farmers of Utah aro still patriotic even though the war is over. These heifers will be sold to the highest bidders and will be delivered to the purchasers. Purchasers will not be expected to donate tho animals which thev buy that they may be sold aga.in. The 6ale will be absolute and no obligations obliga-tions will prevail. |
