Portland may try to railroad Paddy out of the league, but if the McCredies have any sense they will come to terms with him, for Portland must have a strong club this year and Slglin will help to make that club strong. Carroll Jones, a big pitcher Detroit turned over to Portland, has been lost, but is now found. He is at Oskaloosa, Iowa, and he is ready to report. Men who know him say he Is a whale of a pitcher.
