Show ANOTHER THREE mm bill Middles, Lights and Feathers Feath-ers Matched for Monday's Mon-day's Ring Show, Hardy Downing:, manager of 'the Manhattan Man-hattan club, yesterday announced another trlpleheader for Monday night's boxing-show boxing-show at the Hippodrome. Monday's card carries three six-rounders, in different weights one middle, one light and one feather. Two husky middloweights, Jack White and Knockout Brown, should furnish fur-nish the slugfest of the entertainment. Lobby Mooro and Jack Ryan should furnish fur-nish both speed and swatting In their mixup, while the feathers. Kid Davis and Danny Cummlngs, who agree to make U'5 pounds at 3 p. m. Monday, should show enough speed to make the eyes swim. K. O. Brown was ono oi the old-time crowd of middleweights who put on so many good bouts a few years ago. Although Al-though Brown was never a champ hereabouts, here-abouts, he always ?avo a good account of himself, and met old Jack Downey a number of times, which in itself is a credit mark for any middleweight. Brown nas been in the army and spent all of his time in Uncle Sam's employ as a boxing Instructor. In meetin.g White, Brown ,jes up-against the now local kingpin of his division and it remains to be seen just how good Jack will show against someone of his own weight and experience. expe-rience. Bobby Moore 'mets Jack Ryan in the lightweight six-rounder. Jack and his friends think Bobby's decision. over him a few weeks ago was hardly more than a hairline, in fact, they couldn't see it. so Promoter Downing gave -Jyan another crack at the fireman-soldier. There should be world of action when these boys meet, and it is a cinch that as far as Jack is concerned, there will be no laying back. Moore always did have the reputation of going in and starting thmys. so this bout should prove a whirlwind. "Tntermountain eh ample n" in the featherweight division is what Kid Davis proudly affixes to his 11? me. Danny Cum-mings, Cum-mings, the Butte miner, who came here last week, will take off some of the weight he was toting" around his waist last week and make 125 pounds for the Kid. Inasmuch as the miner packed only 33C pouncts last Monday night, it looks as though he could make the weight and not slow himself up any. Those who saw Danny mix with Jack" Evan of Osr-den Osr-den hut week are looking for a really clever go. Dick Borger and Willie Wise will appear ap-pear in the main four-round prelim. Both have been seen in the Manhattan club squared circle before and if thv run to form there should he a. merry n-.ixup. Willie Beaehey, who covered" himself with glory in the eurtalnraiser last week, takes on an unknown quanta v when he meets Blondie Singer. Tins "light-com-piexioned youngster is a new one, but he claims to have put plenty of them away In the alley bouts about town and figures it's time to come out m the legitimate squared circle. Of course, there will be the regular three -round curtain -raiser. |
