Show I RAILROAD DIRECTORS I AUTHORIZE CONTRACT NEW YORK, March 13. Directors of the Chicago. Milwaukee & tit. Paul Hail- way company at a special meeting today authorised the sign in 5 of iho standard contract with the railroad administration, a matter which has been Ion 5 pending. The compensation to bs paid the company com-pany under! his contract, including about $440,000 . additional compensation for improvements im-provements on the Rocky mountain lines, will be slightly under $"$,000,000 annually, annual-ly, it was announced. The St. Paul was the last of the larger railroads to sign the contract. The question of the long-deferred dividends divi-dends 011 St. Paul stock was not discussed dis-cussed a t the meeting. Presiden t R. M. Calkins stating afterward that there were many points to be settled before a divi-1 divi-1 dend pohcy could be finally decided on., j He denied reports that the railroad ad-; ad-; ministration had intimated its disap-; disap-; proval of payments of dividends on stocks ; of the company. |
