Show LIEUTENANT STARK HIT BY SHRAPNEL Lieutenant "William C. Stark, formerly former-ly a member of the Utah artillery and who was one of the first Utahns to po to France, having been trntvsf erred .f o the staff duties shortly after the United States entered the war, has been slightly wounded, according to word received here yesterday. Tlie extent of the injuries, although al-though they consisted of shrapnel cuts in the face and head, were not serious, and TJeutenant Stark is on duty again. A letter to a friend in this city, dated October 1, written on Red Cross stationery, station-ery, made only slight reference to ttm wounds, the writer expressing confident :e that he would soon be on the road to recovery. A. second letter, dated October 15. announced that "Lieutenant Stark had gone back to his sector," and this was taken to mean that he had been discharged dis-charged from the hospital as "fully recovered." |
