Show GAME PRESERVE VIOLATOR GIVEN flNE SENTENCE Albert E. Miller and Ellis Hyatt of Copperfield were arrested ar-rested Wednesday evening in Dry Fork Canyon for illegal possession of deer brought off the Heaslon game preserve-Hyatt preserve-Hyatt is reported to nave admitted ad-mitted killing the deer in the afternoon, just above the B. & G. bridge. The two men went after the deer about 7 p. m.. loaded them in their car, and started out of the canyon, when they were picked up by Game Wardens William Crump and Thomas Argyle. Hyatt pleaded guilty to illegal ille-gal possession of deer before Justice of the Peace F. A. Miller Mil-ler late yesterday afternoon and was given a $100 fine and 45 days in jail. Miller pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on a $300 bond. Trial was set for Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 10:30 a. m. in the city hall. According, to Mr. Crump and Mr. Argyle, there has been considerable poaching on the Heaston game preserve the past few months. The State Fish and Game department officials of-ficials state that a close watch will be kept in the future and anyone caught carrying firearms fire-arms on the preserve will be prosecuted. The Heaston preserve pre-serve includes all territory surrounding Bingham, including includ-ing Dry Fork canyon. s |
