Show JUNIOR CHAMBER OPPOSES PLAN Although the junior chamber of commerce organization is non-political, non-political, they voted opposition to Governor Herbert B. Maw's plan to take the $800,000 given to cities and counties in the state from the vehicle registration registra-tion fund and to put it in some other fund- The Jaycees concurred that their action is a statement of policy pol-icy and not of politics. The city of Bingham Canyon realizes approximately ap-proximately $2400 annually from motor vehicle registration fund and the entire amount goes for upkeep of city streets. Following the regular business meeting Monday, a- board of directors di-rectors meeting was held with Parker Gray, chairman, presiding. presid-ing. Four new members, Robert Jimas. of the Union Drug company; com-pany; Fred Hoine, U- S. Mines company; Dan Caulfield, Utah Copper company, and Wayne Bor-en, Bor-en, J. C- Penney company, were approved. Next regular meeting for Jaycees Jay-cees will be at 7:30 p.m., Monday, February 10, at Sturm's cafe. |
