Show TOOELE 10 CROSS " 001 GREAT II Report Shows That Members Mem-bers Are Doing Their Utmost Ut-most for the Cause. Special lo The Tribune. ( TOOELE, June 9. Owing to ill health, Mrs. J. A. Davenport, Jr., lias tendered her resignation as county supervisor of surgical dressings, and the lied Cross loses one of its most loyal and efficient workers. Mrs. George Chase hae been appointed ap-pointed as her successor. The Tooele county chapter acknowledges acknowl-edges a recent donation of $2 from Mrs. Libbie Lee and a quilt has been donated by Mrs. Mcintosh. The following shipments were received during the week: St. John auxiliary, twelve suits of pajamas; Lake Point auxiliary, aux-iliary, eighteen bed shirts: Gold Hill auxiliary, aux-iliary, twelve suits of pajamas; Stockton Stock-ton branch, six suits of pajamas; Tooele City, fourteen pairs socks, four sweaters, sweat-ers, twenty-eight bed shirts, thirty-six pajamas, six sheets. Work taken out is as follows: St. John auxiliary, eighteen bed shirts; Lake Point auxiliary, three pounds, seven ounces sweater yarn; Ophir branch, 104 yards pajama cloth: Tooele City, forty-eight bed Shirts, four pounds, ten ounces sock yarn, twelve pounds, fourteen ounces sweater varn. There will be placed in the store of Hanks & Evans a box in which to drop old kid gloves. These gloves are used for making jackets for airmen. Tooele county chapter, A. R. C, has been organized one year. Those who joined at the time of organization are urged to renew their membership. The following is the gauzeroom report for the month of May: Four hy four gauze compresses, 1355; 9 by 9 gauze compresses, 240; 6 by 3 folded gauze strips, 43S: 16 by 24 irrigation pads, twen-tv-five; 12 by 24 absorbent pads, five; 9" by 9 gauze stacks, two; 3-yard gauze rolls, three. Total, 20GS. Number of sessions held, thirty-two; average number of teachers per session, four; average number of volunteers per session, ten. There were 620 more dressings dress-ings made during the month of May than were made during the month of April. |
