As a result of the labor recruiting conference being held in Denver, and at which seventeen states are represented, repre-sented, a volunteer labor recruiting service will be inaugurated August 1 to handle the conservation and recruiting recruit-ing of labor for farms and "war work throughout the west, according to a telegram tele-gram received yesterday from W. Eees, secretary of the Utah Manufacturers' Manufac-turers' association, advising him as to the progress of the conference being held and the importance of it. The Utah delegate says that the delegates dele-gates from all the other states are heartily supporting the volunteer recruiting re-cruiting program, and that it bids fair to work out most satisfactorily. Mr. JenBen notes in his message that the government estimates it now needs 400,000 men for various sorts of war work. |
