Smith, president of the Dorothy Evanston Wyoming Oil company, com-pany, returned yesterday lo Salt Lake after an absence of two weeks, during which time he secured the, completion of the validating work on that portion por-tion of the company's holdings lying in township 18 north, range 115 west, U in tab county. Wyoming. He will leave for the" field in a few days and will start his crew of men at work on the Lincoln county holdings of tho company, located in township 10 north, range 1 15 west. The Dorothy Kvanston Wyoming company's com-pany's holdings comprise a total or" 5300 acres. 24O0 acres in the Cumberland field and S00 acres in the Bridget- dome. The select ion and location of the land comprised com-prised in the company's holdings ha o been made only after exhaustive study of the territory by recognized oil experts. ex-perts. President Smith i himself a veteran and experienced driller in many oil fields, with a wide knowledge of oil geology, and he has called into consultation consulta-tion a number of the leading nil experts and geologists of the west before making mak-ing final determination as to the sites most favorable for drilling operations. Mr. Smith said yesterday that ho had been so completely occupied with details concerning operations of his own company com-pany that he had had no time to make specific investigation regarding operations opera-tions of neighboring concerns, adding, however, that such reports as had reached him were highly favorable and indicative of the fact that "Wyoming was making good progress in the development develop-ment of her oil. |
