Show WHIRLWIND SB FOR L0 PUIHED Business District to Be Invaded In-vaded by Members of Women's Committee. TO WORK IN RELAYS War Mothers Will Take an Active Part in Huge Parade Monday. Preparations for a whirlwind drive in the business district havo been completed by the women's Liberty loan committee, which will have charge of the booths to ! be used for the sale of bonds on volunteer volun-teer day tomorrow. Members of the women's organizations will have charge of the booth?. Work-ins Work-ins with them will be groups oi girls from the Comrade club, each group under the command of a lieutenant. The Comrade girls will not cafry formal for-mal applications for Liberty bonds. Instead In-stead they will be provided with a special spe-cial coupon or receipt which they will give to everyone offering to subscribe for bonds. The girls will accept the amount of a first payment on any given number of bonds and will give coupons whose face value is equivalent to the amcmnt paid. These coupons can then be offered with the formal application at certain designated places, including booths in Keith-O'Brien company, Walker Brothers dry goods store, Z. C. M. I.. Auerbach coin pan v, Culln hotel, women's Liberty loan bank and Liberty loan headquarters at the Commercial club. This is expected to speed up the drive immensely as the transaction on the street is the simplest possible. The girls will work in relays commencing at S o'clock in the morning and until late in the evening. eve-ning. At least fourteen booths will be erected on the streets of the business district dis-trict as pivots from which the girls will operate. . Sale Volume Growing. The opening of the women's Libetty loan bank yesterday afternoon was followed by a brisk run of business, a considerable number of subscriptions being reported during the afternoon. The volume of sales of bonds is expected to increase today and grow to immense proportions Saturday. High hopes are held for the success of the big automobile parade which is pcheduled for tomorrow night as a celebration cele-bration of volunteer day. Scores of motorists mo-torists have alread signified their intention inten-tion of joining in the demonstration and it is expected that a thousand passenger cars will be in line. Business houses in greater end greater numbers are being reported into the 100 per cent column, and many new companies com-panies were added to the list yesterday. War mothers of the citv who take part in the fourth Liberty loan parade on September Sep-tember 30 will assemble on the south side of Sixth South, Just east of State street, at 6:30 p. m. The war mothers' section will get into parade formation at this point. The automobiles in which the war mothers ride will be filled under the supervision of the officers and subcommittees subcom-mittees of the local war mothers' organization. or-ganization. Service flags will be carried by every mother participating- and it has been suggested sug-gested that each flag be attached to a small cane or stick. All members of the ladies auxiliary to the I. A. of M. are requested to be at Sixth South and State streets at 6:30 o'clock to lake part in the fourth Liberty Lib-erty lean parade Monday night. Grant Is Confident. Tn an address before the Kiwanis club yesterday Heber J. Grant expressed complete com-plete confidence in the loyalty of the people peo-ple of Utah in going quickly "over the top" in subscribing v't he quota of $18.-700.000 $18.-700.000 for the Liberty loan. He said that if Utah had been asked to subscribe for double the amount of the former quotas the amount would cheerfully have beer! raised. Taking a most optimistic view of th war situation, Mr. Grant said that Germany Ger-many wiil get peace only when she mkes restitution for all the territory which lias been devastated and for ail the acts of inhumanity, in-humanity, and not before.
