Show j State Society ) PAYSON : PAYSON, March 16. The afternoon Sewing club spent Thursday at the Red Cross gauze rooms. The Entre Nous club met with Mrs. N. K. White Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dixon gave a party Thursday evening in honor of the First ward Sunday school officers and teachers. The old folks of the Second ward were entertained at noon yesterday in the ward amusement ball. There was a reunion re-union of the ward in the afternoon and a programme given. The committee in charge comprised Ezra. Tanner, chairman chair-man ; Mi and Mrs. Frank Tervort and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Petre. Mrs. 7-Tenry Erlandson had as her guests Wed nesday the ladies of the Social So-cial Tea club. The Second ward Sunday school officers offi-cers and teachers gave a dancing party last evening in the amusement hall. Mrs. V!. Ferre entertained at bridge this afternoon. Mrs. J. C. Ellsworth entertained a-number a-number of her friends at a social affair this afternoon. W. King Driges presented several of his pupils in a musical recital given Wednesday at the high school building. A surprise party was given Master Earl Huber Friday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huber. Mr. and Mrs. Flint McGlellan gave a social at their home Saturday evening of last week. Mrs. S. E. Ware spent the week end in Springville with Mrs. 1'ie.per and Mrs. H. Trenh(oIm. Mrs. Harry Tipton entertained a few fri-"'.ds at dinner yesterdav. Miss Althea Leatham of Provo is the guest of her sister, Mfs. Carl Keeler. Miss Zula Smith, a student of the University Uni-versity of Utah, spent the week end here. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Davis have returned to their home at Montpelier. Idaho, after spending a week with Mr. Davis's sister, Mrs. Wright- Mrs. Mattie-Kapple, Mrs. W. Murphy and Mrs. As:" Hancock were in Provo Monday to attend the Rec" Cross meeting. Greaves entertained Sunday evening in honor of the anniversary of her birth. Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Jenkins have returned re-turned from a visit to Logan and Salt Lake City. . , Mrs. C. J. Christensen and Mrs. S. D. Jenkins entertained Monday evening at tiie Jenkins home, in honor of Mrs. George Taylor Jr. The event was in honor of tiie 'iiiniversarv of Mrs. Taylor's birth. A. large number of rriends were present and the guest of honor was presented with a table as a token of esteem. Mrs Xellie Norris of Mount Pleasant was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Christensen Chris-tensen this week. The dramatic club of the North ward Sun-lav school of this city presented "Captain Rachel I" at the Ke.irnolid opera house Saturday evening. .
