Carter, Utah rdoneer photographer, pho-tographer, who came to Salt Lake City in liof' and established his first euidio and residence on the corner of Main and Third South streets, where now stands the JudLe buildir.K. died yesterday in Midvale at the home of hU daughter, Mrs. Oeorce Smith. Mr. Carter's photographs and negatives are hitrhly valued by historians and the 1 bulk of them are now in possession of the 1 Mormon church, in direct charge of Ben-1 Ben-1 jam in Goidard of the bureau of information informa-tion at the outh sate of Temple square. ; By means of them several obscure his-I his-I tnr'.cal points in l.md litigation have been cleared up and they are held invaluable I as depictions of old and historic scenes I In Utah, especially in Salt Lake City.
