A large crowd of enthusiastic trap-shooters trap-shooters braved the cold weather yesterday yester-day and enjoyed one of the best shoots held this season on the Salt Lake Gun club grounds. ' The "kaiser" made a mistake when he selected Al Cowan for an easy mark, as Cowan was there with blood in his eye and when the "emperor" made his bid to get away he was smashed to smithereens. The spoon shoot furnished some classy shooting, ten shooters tying. Gail Moffat, Mof-fat, J. F. Cowan, V. H. Mitchell, C. S. Parnell. J. L. Taylor, A. R. Bain, Harry Heagren, C. K. Wharton. A. W Cowan and Kabbit Rumel were all tied with perfect per-fect scores In the shoot-off J. L. Taylor won after a hard battle ' with Rabbi; Rumel, who surprised everybody by shooting Taylor lo a stand-still and outdistancing out-distancing all other competitors. Ten Tied Again. There was pienty of excitement in the challenge medal shoot. After the. scores were turned in it was found that another an-other bunch of ten had tied with perfect scores. F.. Ford. Charles Reilley. In the shoot-off Reilley won a.ter one of the hardest foughr contests e er staged on the club grounds, L. Ford, the Luie shooter from Ogden, losing bv only one bird. Yesterday was the final1 on the t-ibertv bond handicap shoot. The --winner cou.il not be determined until the last shol was fired. Reilley. Ford and Hood shot trom the tweniy-two-yard line Hilar Moffat, Asher Cowan, Gallagher. Mitchell. Mitch-ell. Parnell, Taylor and Wharlou held down the twenty-yard mark and Bun and Barney took charge of the eighteen-yard eighteen-yard line. All shooters had mialiiled, Reilley lending the bunch with throc pomts to bis credit, while Ford Hood Utter and Bain were nil tied with two points each.
