Show FIGHT ON INFLUENZA. Pxinuin touny, iat Lake is :i "dosed town" until the SjKiuish influenza influ-enza is declared under control. The or-riiT or-riiT issued lv the state health authorities authori-ties is very drastic and includes churches, schools, theaters, moving picture pic-ture shows, dance halls and all other laces where the peojUe are wont to congregate in the capital, city. It 'becomes 'be-comes automatically effective in every other town iu the st;ite in which cases of the scourge appear. There does not appear to be any-great amount of alarm over the situation at present, although the disease is rapidly spreading and a lew deaths have been recorded. It is the general opinion, however, that it is the part of wisdom to fight , the epidemic epi-demic before it gets too much of a start. The same action is being taken all over the country, .and strenuous efforts ni'o being made to prevent the disease from taking a heavy toll in human lives. It is quite probable the so-called "mild cases'' of influenza are nothing more nor less than grip, and the people of Salt Lake should not get hysterical over the closing order or magnify the danger. Tt may be over very soon. |
