John W. i f Wournis, a prominent attorney of Wal- ' lace, is disbarred from practicing law in ! the state of Idaho for two years. The ' , supreme court suspended him today. He ! was charged with representing two clients ; in the same case. j It was alleged that he procured him- I , self to be employed by Patrick Burke, a i Coeur dAer.e and Spokane mining" man. I as his attorney, to adjust differences 1 which has arisen between the latter and ; the owners of certain mining claims, on ' I which Burke held an option to purchase, 1 i and defrauded and misled him into al- : J lowing his rights to be forfeited. ; The Consolidated Interstate Callahan ' l Mining: company, which sought to secure the same claims, did so when the option : expired, Wournis acting a -so as its at- ' tcrr.ey, it was alleged. Wournis denied the allegations, claiming that he has only acted for Burke upon repeated soiicita"- ; tion and to get rid of him. ; The evidence was taken at Wallace by ; !
