Show PITIABLE CONDITIONS AMONG ARMENIANS NEW YORK, Dec. 27. Thousands of Armenians are destitute and starving throughout Persia and hundreds of thousands thou-sands of dollars monthly are needed to provide for them, according to cable mes- ! sages from representatives of the American Ameri-can committee for Armenian and Syrian relief, made public by the organization here tonight. In all parts of the Caucasus terrlt'.ry, the message said, conditions are pitiable, while at MoeuI there are 10,000 women and children refugees from Turkey. The reports said there are 30,000 destitute at Tabriz where 200U Christian refugees need immediate aid. At Sojhulak, it was reported, 10.000 Kurds are starving. The famine conditions will prevail until the next harvest for outside relief. |
