Adolph Sinron, vice president and treasurer treas-urer of the Paris Millinery company, one of the leading spirits in every move toward to-ward the building of a greater and better Salt Lake, died yesterday in Summcrvillo, S. C. News of his death was received by relatives in the city yesterday. Death was due to chronic bronchitis, from which Mr. Simon was a sufferer for some time. Although efrything- possible was done to relieve the trouble, efforts were unavailing un-availing and death relieved the patient's (suffering at 1:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon. after-noon. All the members of his immediate family were present when the end came. Mr." Pimon is survived by bis widow and three sons, Julian, aged lfi; Arthur, aged lo, and Bouis, aged 11. Four sisters and two brothers also survive him, t he brothers being Joe fcMmon of New York and Bonis Simon of this city, who is of the firm operating the Paris Millinery company. Mr. Simon was born in West Prussia, fifty-two years ago and has been a resident resi-dent of Salt Lake since he was twenty years of age. During his life in Salt Bake he was prominently identified with the leading business enterprises of the city. He and his brother, Louis Simon, founded found-ed the Paris Millinery company in 1$9(T. and from a modest beginning this business institution has grown into one of the largest department stores In Salt Lake. Mr. Simon had always been active and aggressive in all matters pertaining to the development of Salt La.ke and was a liberal lib-eral contributor to charity. He was always al-ways found in the front, ranks of those striving for the development of Salt Lake and his loss will be keenly felt by the community at large. Mr. Simon was a prominent member of the Masonic lodge, being a thirty-second degree Mason and a Mystic Shrincr. He was also an active member of the Commercial Com-mercial club. Rotary club, Elks' club. Country club and other organizations which have for their object a "Greater Salt Lake.' As yet no funeral arrangements have been made, but t hey will be announced as soon as decided upon. |
