Show GUILLAUMAT TO LEAD ARMIES AT SALONIKI Sarrail Will Be Called to Other Services as Soon as Conditions Permit. PARIS, Sunday, Dec. 23. General M. P. E. Sarrail, the government has decided de-cided in an official announcement, will be replaced as head of the allies' armies at Saloniki by General Marie Louis Adolphe Guillaumat; General Sarrail, who has had to struggle against serious difficulties diffi-culties and has rendered great services, will be called to other duties as soon as circumstances permit. General Guillaumat Guillau-mat arrived at Saloniki on Saturday. He is one of the heroes of Verdun, where he commanded an army corps which was mentioned in army orders as having "distinguished "dis-tinguished itself by the methodical precision pre-cision of its preparations and the vigor of its attacks.' A London dispatch last Wednesday said that an announcement had been made in Athens of the recall of General Sarrall, who has been in command in the east since October, 1913. His successor's name was given at that time as General Guille-met. Guille-met.
