Stimpson of the Thousand Doiiar War Savings club of Salt Lake and the members of his com-i com-i mi t tee at e getting their plans in shape ! for a big drive for members in this unique organization. A total membership of 2CK in the Salt Lake club by tonight has been set by the chairman of the committee and, according ac-cording to reports from members of the committee yeerday, the goal probably will be reached. It is proposed to secure not less than 500 members of this club in Salt Lake aione, and in the entire state it is planned to secure not less than 1000 members of the Thousand Dollar clubs. This will mean, if it is carried through, that SI. 000,000 will be raised in the state through the Thousand Dollar club plan alone. Work in behalf of the thrift campaign is being pushed in every way and good results are reported from all directions. The telephone and other large companies are sending out their bills for the month just ending with advertising slips calling call-ing attention to the war savings campaign, cam-paign, and in this way many thousands of people throughout the state will be given information relative to the war savings and thrift stamp method of raising rais-ing a war loan of $2,000,000,000 for the government. A report was received at the state headquarters of the war savings committee com-mittee yesterday to the effect that great results are being achieved in the Garfield Gar-field and Magna districts through the excellent work of Chairman Dwight Ma-teer Ma-teer and his committee, who have the work in charge for that district.
