Show GATEWOOD HAS QUIT I. W. W. ORGANIZATION POCATELLO, Idaho, Sept. 7. In an affidavit filed with County Attorney M. R. Lockhart, Louis W. Gate wood, formerly for-merly local secretary of the I. W. W., renounces all further connection with that organization. Gate wood was bound over to the district court yesterday on the ground that he sold seditious literature while in charge of local I. W. W. headquarters. head-quarters. His arrest was due to the action of Governor Alexander and Attorney At-torney General Walters during a recent stay in this city. Gatewood has been held in the county jail for nearly a month, awaiting expected ex-pected assistance from the headquarters of the I. W. W. at Seattle, but which has not been forthcoming. On the strength of his affidavit and the apparent sincerity sin-cerity of his purpose to support the government, gov-ernment, he was released today and left at once to see his son, who is stationed with the United States army at Vancouver, Van-couver, Wash. |
