Show PRICE OF WHEAT FOR COAST NOT YET MADE R. A. Levin of the Food Administration Corporation Makes Announcement. An-nouncement. SAX FRANCISCO, Sept. 7. Comprehensive Compre-hensive plans for fixing the price and handling the distribution of wheat on the Pacific coast were announced here today by R. A. Levin, second vice president pres-ident of the federal food administration grain corporation. 1 ' When the price of wheat on the Pacific Pa-cific coast is named by Herbert Hoover's Hoo-ver's representatives, it will be a fixed price for the present entire season," Mr. Levin's announcement said. "It will be to the interest of all farmers and all holders of wheat and rye to sell their grain immediately and save charges once the figure is given out. i The food administration desires that -wheat aud rye be sold by its holdert through the regular channels. "The food administration will buy all wheat and rye when delivered at San Francisco bay terminals, but only after arrival. The payment will be J made on warehouse receipts, according to the quality established by federal in- spectors. All owners of wheat and rye located at San Francisco bay terminals except mills, may sell only to the food administration." California, Nevada and Arizona comprise the twelfth zone of the fed- : eral foodi administration and the food administration grain corporation. |
