In line with Governor Bamberger's proclamation setting- aside June 7 as Goorl Roads day, Sait Lake Botarians at their weekly luncheon at the Hotel Utah yesterday mapped out a programme pro-gramme to make the occasion a fitting fit-ting one. It was decided that Botarians Botari-ans and other citizens of Salt Lake visit Parley's canyon and take part in the celebration incidental to the dynamiting of a section of a mountain which has long been a menace to those having occasion to use the road in that vicinity. The county commissioners have promised prom-ised to make this a gala event and the Rotarians are going to do their share in entering into the spirit of the occasion occa-sion in keeping with the proclamation. It iB expected that 1 000 Salt Lakers will be on hand with all necessary paraphernalia to remove what has long proved to be a menace. S. D. Evans was appointed chairman of a committee commit-tee or the Rotary club to make the final arrangements. City Commissioner Heber M. Wells addressed the Rotarians at the luncheon on the -question of the presentation of the matter of a bond issue to the citizens citi-zens of Salt Lake. Mr. Wells stated that the commission would abide by the decision of the people. F. S. Murphy informed the members that the fund to provide an additional ambulance for service on the frontier in France had grown to $1944.
