Show MOTORMAN STRICKEN WITH APOPLEXY Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Dec. 29. Stricken by apoplexy at 6:15 o'clock this evening while operating operat-ing a car on the Twenty-seventh street line, John A. Swanson, 72 years of age. a motorman for the Ogden. Logan & Idaho Railway company, died shortly after he was removed to the Dee hospital. hos-pital. The car was running east, just after turning off Jefferson avenue, when the passengers saw the motorman reel and fall toward the front of the car. The weight of his hody against the controller shut off the current, stopping the car. Mr. Swaiison was removed to the hospital in an ambulance and died at S:i o'clock. He resided at 971 Twentv-fourth Twentv-fourth street and is survived by the widow, one son and three daughters" The body was removed to the Kirkendall undertaking un-dertaking rooms. |
