Show Coffee Futures. NEW YORK, Jan. 11. The market for coffee futures was again quiet today and fluctuations were irregular. The opening was unchanged to two points lower under , some scattering liquidation whih may I have been due to a less favorable vlew of pea'e prospects, with May selling at S.90c during the early trading. Offerings were light, however, while there was nothing to indicate any pressure of spot coffee, and the market steadied later in the day, with May selling up lo S-fHc on covering. The close was steady, net unchanged lo two points higher. Sales were estimated at 22.00 bags. January, 8.75c; February, S.SOc; March. 8.85c; April, S.SSc; May, 8.92c; June, 8.97c; July, 9.02c; August, 9.07c: September, 9. 12c; October, 9. Vic ;' November, 9.20c; December. Decem-ber. 9.25c. Spot, firm; Rio 7s, 10c; Santos 4s, 11c. Offers of Santos 4s were reported in the cost and freight market at 10.50c, and of well-described Santos 3s at 11. 10c, London Lon-don credits. The official cable reported an advance of 75 reis in the Rio market, wMh Santos spots unchanged and futures unchanged to 25 reis lower. |
