Show lah Tennis Expert Named Sectional Delegate O. J. SALISBURY. 0 j kl NEW YORK, Jan. 11. D wight F. Davis of St. Louis, donor of the international challenge cup, will succeed A. L. Hoskins of Philadelphia as vice president of the United States National Lawn Tennis association, it the regular nominations niada public today are ratified rati-fied at the annual meeting of the association associa-tion here on February 9. Bernon S. Prentice of New York is nominated for treasurer to succeed Richard Stevens. The other officers are renominated. The delegates at large proposed by the nominating committee are R. Norris Williams Wil-liams II, the national champion; William J. Clothier of Philadelphia and Watson M. Washburn of New York. Nominations for sectional delegates are: Middle states, A. L. Hoskins, Philadelphia; Philadel-phia; middle Atlantic, Frederick C. Colston, Col-ston, Baltimore ; intermountain, O. J. Salisbury. Salt Lake City. Some surprise has been caused by the proposal of an amendment to create a new section, to be known as the Pacific northwest. This would comprise the states of Oregon and "Washington, western west-ern Montana and the northern and west-: west-: em parts of Idaho, territory now included in-cluded in the Pacific states and intermountain inter-mountain sections. |
