Show SCRIBBLERS' CLUB GETS RECOGNITION The Scribblers' club, the men's literary lit-erary society at tbe University of Utah, is now making: preparations for being installed as a chapter of Sigma Upsilon, a national literary society. The petition o"f the local club was granted by the national fraternity last spring, but, owing to some delay, the charter was not sent at the time. The, officers of Sigma Upsilon have just i written explaining that the charter is now on the way and that the members may prepare for installation. i tinder the new organization the club : will be a very exclusive one. The r on- j stitution of the national body provides that the local bodies may not have more than twelve members, and, consequently, membership in the fraternity is regarded regard-ed as a great honor. ! Brent Cahoon has just been elected president of the Srribblers, to succeed George Hobson, who failed to return to college this year. Tbe other officers are: Lawrence' Wallaee, vice president; Seymour Spencer, treasurer; Fred Sachs, secretary. |
