Show WiLSON WOMEN WILL FORM STATE LEAGUE The Women's Woodrow Wilson club of the Fourth ward is to be expanded into a state league of women voters who want the present president of the United States re-elected. This became known yesterday, when it was announced that a committee had been appointed to start the league and that a preliminary meeting for this purpose had been called for nest Wednesday night in Judge T. D. Lewis's courtroom" at the City and County building, build-ing, s This meeting will draft a constitution and by-laws for a State 'Women's Wood-, row Wilson league, which will have units in every, county of the state and subdivisions sub-divisions in the various cities and country coun-try precincts. The Woodrow Wilson club of the Fourth ward is the nucleus of the central unit of the league in bait Lake county, which will be extended later to all the state. The meeting Wednesday night will make arrangements for a mass meet ing later on which will formally ratify the preliminary plans and formally launch the state league. The state league is designed as a non-partiaan organization. or-ganization. Women of all parties( but who favor the re-election of President Wilson, will be invited to ."join. The reelection re-election of Wilson will be the sole purpose pur-pose of the league; it will not concern itself with state or local issues, and will not be connected with the Democratic state or local organizations. The committee appointed to take charge of the preliminaries comprises Mrs. James H. Movie, Mrs. 9. R. Thur-man, Thur-man, Miss Laura Hadley, Mrs. Tom D. Pitt. Mrs. J. W. McKinney, Mrs. George H. Pern, Mrs. P. H. Candland, Miss Georgia Hartley, Mrs. Sarah Kenner, T Mrs. Mabel Thomas and Mrs. Luciiui Chase. |
