Sue n cor gave the biography of. James Kuss-ell Lowell and Mrs. L. D. Anderson zao readings from his works. Mrs. A. N. Blackmer was hostess. Mrs. R. R. Fenn entertained th members mem-bers of the Bridge club last Monday afternoon aft-ernoon at her home. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. D. A. Drown and the hostess. The members of the C ". Goff gave a talk on singing in the home. The members of the Plate club were entertained last Thursday afternoon by Miss Honors f-'tagg at her home. Mrs. Sarah Bricker of Salt Lake spent a few days here visiting her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Williams. The dance given bv the Jordan high school students Friday night was attended at-tended by a number of Midvale patrons. Mrs. C. L. Colbert, president of the Ladles Literary club, and Mrs. F. R. Paine attended the convention of the Federation Fed-eration of Women's clubs in Provo Wed- m nesriay, Thursday and Friday. Mrs. D. Almond Drown, assisted bv her daughter. Mrs. William Maycroft of Helper, Help-er, who is here for a short visit, enter- tained a large number of her women friends at a bridge luncheon at her home Friday afternoon. |
