Show AMERICAN COl ORE BODY IMPROVING Company Will List Stock on Local Exchange, Says G. W. Alexander. The ore body In the southwest drift off the main tunnel level of the American Consolidated Copper company's property continues to show Improvement as the drift progresses, according to G. W. Alexander. Al-exander. Word received from that property, prop-erty, he said yesterday, was to the effect ef-fect that iho ore body was one foot In width at the top of the drift and measured meas-ured about two feet In width at the bottom bot-tom of the drift. He also said that It was the Intention of the company to list Its stock on the Salt lke Stock and Mining exchange today. Eight men are at present employed at the property and are engaged In driving the southwest drift ahead and also in driving the main tunnel ahead. Preparations Prepara-tions are also being made, according to Mr. Alexander, for the building of ore bins at the portal of the tunnel. The main tunnel Is now in a distance of about 1060 feet and Is being driven ahead at the rate of about one foot per day. Its objective Is to cut the Silver King fissure, which Is expected to be readied within the next fifteen feet of driving. The face of the main tunnel is showing heavy minerall7,ation. The drift to the southwest off the main tunnel level has been driven ahead for about 160 feet and Its objective Is the Garfield fissure, which It Is also believed will he reached In the near future. According Ac-cording to Mr. Alexander the ground in the breast of the southwest fissure has become much softer recently and better progress Ik being made, the drift being pushed ahead at the rale of about two feet per day. |
