Show BUS TRAIN ACCIDENT VICTIMS GET DAMAGES Fifteen high school students of Jordan district injured in the accident of December 1 when a crack freight train crashed into a school bus and killed 24 persons, per-sons, received $23,400 of the $80,-000 $80,-000 compromise settlement made by the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad company. Of the remainder of the sum, $50,000 will he paid families of the 24 victims at a rate of $2400 for each death. $200 was divided among four county physicians. Dr. Lawrence C. Snow of Salt Lake City, Dr. J. S. Alley and Dr. John A. Hosmer of Midvale, and Dr. Paul S. Richards of Bingham, who apportioned money mon-ey to injured students. j |
