Show NEW BISHOP WILL BE INSTALLED SOON The Very Reverend Joseph Glass Is to Be Consecrated on August 24. Arrangements have hem completed for the consecration and installation of the Very Rev. Joseph S. GIa6flT C. MM D. D.t as bishop of Salt Lake. Dr. Glass will be consecrated a bishop of the Roman Catholic church on August 24, at Los Angeles. The consecration ceremony will be heM io the St. Vincent's Vin-cent's Catholic, church at St. Vincent's college-Los Angolcs, where, for fourteen years, Dr. Glass hp.s served as rector of the parish and president of the college. The Most Rev. Edward J. Ranna, D. D., who was yesterday installed as archbishop arch-bishop of San Francisco, will preside at the consecration ceremonies, assisted hy the Right Rev. Thomas J. Conaty, bishop bish-op of Monterey and Los Angeles, and the Right Lev. Thomas Grace, bishop of Sacramento. The new bishon of Salt Lake will bid farewell to his flock in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 2f, and will leave the following day for his new pee. arrn ing in Salt La ke Tuesday forenoon on a special train. He will be received bv a committee of prominent Catholics from all parts of the diocese, and on Wednesday forenoon, September 1, be will be formally installed as bishop of Salt Lakp. The installaf ion ceremonies will be held at St. Marv's cathedral. Archbishop Arch-bishop Hanna will preside at the ceremonies cere-monies ard will deliver the installation sermnn.
