ALIA TIGER TO Mil AT GREATER DEPTH Acquires Right to Drive for Ore Through Highland Chief Tunnel W th the purchas ng of an interest in the Highland Chief ground consummated and the deed filed with the county re corde the Alta T ger Mining company the property of which is located In the Little Cottonwood d strict has acquired a right to Work Its ground at much great er depth through the old Highland Ch ef tunnel A force of men will be started Immediately to clean out the old tunnel and put it In condition to work in The Alta T ger Mining company has been negotiating for the past six weeks with the owners of the Highland Chief ground, which crosses that of the Alta Tiger company with the ultimate pur pose In view of developing the Alta Tiger ground through the Highland Chief tun nel At the time the Highland Chief owners- were operating they shipped con s derable ore from their .ground mining it according to President J E Phillips of the Alta Tiger company rlgjit up to he Alta Tiger lines Work was discon lnued at that point, however and Presl dent Phillips feels assured that the ore body can be picked up and developed In A ta Tiger ground The Alta Tiger company has been financed to carry on an extensive cam paign of deve opment work that has been outlined Miners are now engaged in ex end ng the upj)er tunne toward the downward ex enslon of an ore body that, 1 as been opened up There la In the neighborhood of twelve more feet of driv lng to be done With the resumption of mining opera Hons from t e Highland Chief tunnel however the A ta Tiger company will be enabled o gain n the neighborhood of 500 feet of depth on he ore body Ten ati e plans are being considered for the instalia ion of power drills In order that the work may be pushed ahead more rapid y
