We are stoplng the ore and taking It to the 1 shaft, where it is pi ed unt 1 our hoist Is ready which will be w thin a ! few dajs l On the 1500 foot level we have a large bodj of low grade ore which under present conditions In the metal market is a good concentrating ore and during the coming month we ex pect to get out a fair tonnage which will show a prof t The upper workings of the mine excluding the stope f lling which we have rese ved has been turned over to a leasing- company which has taken a lease on the upper leve s down to the 500 and now has twenty men w orking The parent company ought to derive a good income from the lease operations The royalty Is on a sliding scale depending on the va ue of the ore The Ontario has other valuable as sets It has a controlling Interest In the Yveber Coal companv owning a coal m ne at Coalvll e Ltah. While the mine Is not being operated at present yet It ts a valuable property It also owns a half intere t in the Ontario dra n tunnel and receives roalt es trom the Dalj Jud0e and Daly est for draining those prop ertles It owns a Htt e more than one third of the capital stock of the Nail Driver M nlng company whose propert embrac ng seventy acres of patented ground adjo ns the On tarlo The Nail Driver is now pro duclng ore from a three foot ein on the 950 foot evel and made s f rst shipment a few dajs ago According to our sampl ng the ore runs about ten ounces s lver and from 18 to 90 per cent ead In the upper work ns of the On tarlo the -values a e in silver and lead a 1 er predominating but the lower workings carrv a good per centage of z nc accord ng to the rec ords of the old management We are go ng to make an energetic campa an n open n0 up the old On tar o and we are conf dent that we sha 1 get good esu s |
